This one was challenging, but so fun to paint, like doing many small paintings in one, but I think it came together! I took the photos of the food at La Bodega Gourmet and “collaged” them into the painting making it super colorful as is this Spanish food. Looks yummy doesn’t it!? Today I got to see one of my closest friends. I hadn’t seen her in months. Her husband got this painting for her as a surprise the beginning of March as we set up a weekend for me to visit about mid March (they live almost 2 hrs away), 2 of her co-workers came down with covid-19, and I couldn’t visit. Then the lockdown. Well today was the day 💖💖💖 Spending the day with her and her family, making food with her and her daughter just chatting about whatever (I mean it’s not like there was too much to catch up on lol) having her adorable little granddaughter show me their garden and worm farm and just spending time with my friend. Nothing could have been more special. And as much as I take pics, I didn’t even take one lol since I guess I was so focused on our time.
