Magnolias, Jasmine and Leftover Beads
Magnolias, Jasmine and Leftover Beads
8x14” (approximate size) Acrylic painting on a New Orleans Roofing Slate
I saw this while walking the dogs Uptown in New Orleans on Henry Clay Avenue. The leftover Mardi Gras beads from a parade a couple months before almost blend into the magnolia and jasmine flowers leaving just a reminder.
This painting and the roofing slate is coated with a varnish, but these old slates can chip. Please be careful when handling this painting and be sure the anchor is secure in a wall. A table easel is a preferred setting from previous clients who have one of my paintings on a roofing slate. There are no refunds if this painting is broken.
